Rieter Spun Yarn Systems, Switzerland, recently held a ceremony in Bangkok to commemorate the 700th
Rieter RSB draw frame delivered to Thailand. Nanyang Textile Group took delivery of the machine ‹
one of now more than 30 RSB draw frames in operation at the spinning and knitting company.
Organized by Rieter¹s local representative, Avitex, the event at the Hyatt Erawan Hotel
attracted 100 guests including representatives of the Thai textile industry. Peter Illi, Rieter¹s
head of sales, Far East, opened the ceremony with an overview of Rieter Textile Systems and
Automotive business group activities. Jürgen Muller, head of draw frame product management,
followed with a history of the RSB and details of the latest model, the RSB-D 40. Rieter also
announced that it now offers the RSB instruction manual, and will soon offer its display text, in
Thai.
