o combat ever increasing energy costs, Pakistan’s vertically integrated fabric producer,
Nishat Mills has ordered six Energy Towers from A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG.
The towers will be installed on three existing Monforts, Montex stenters at Nishat’s Lahore
finishing facility.
Fresh air passed through the tower’s heat recovery system is heated by the exhaust air of
the stenter, before re-entering the stenters chambers.
With the Monforts heat recovery system capitalizing on the high temperatures of the exhaust
air, savings of up to 30 percent on energy costs can be achieved.
The Monforts Towers, each housed within a 1.3 x 1.7 x 2.9 meter high enclosure, have been
designed for retrofitting to existing stenters or hot flues where access is restricted above the
units. They are built as a stand alone unit for installation alongside the stenter.
Ordered through the local Pakistan representative Al Ameen, the six Monforts Towers are
scheduled to be installed before the end of the year.
Nishat Mill
Since its formation in 1951 as the flagship company for the Nishat Group, it has grown into
the most modern and biggest composite unit in Pakistan.
Its finishing facility has in addition to four Montex stenters, three Monforts Sanforising
unit and a 4 Pad Thermosol to produce more than 7 million meters of fabric a month for many for the
worlds leading apparel and home textile brands.
Special finishes offered by Nishat Mills include soil release, resist finish, peach skin
effect finish, fire retardant, water proofing, anti crease, easy care and anti-microbial finish.
No stranger to Monforts, the Nishat Group — comprising Nishat Apparel (dyeing &
finishing), Nishat Home Textile and Umer Fabrics — is Pakistan’s largest textile manufacturer and
has almost 10 Montex stenters.
