eWarna To Offer A&E And Pantone Color Palettes,Receives New Funding
Malaysia-based eWarna has recently partnered with American & Efird Inc. (A&E) and
Pantone Inc. to offer the companies’color databases in eWarna’s Internet-based color collaboration
technologies.Mount Holly, N.C.-based A&E’s range of thread colors will be incorporated into
eWarna’s Xmatch™ color collaboration software. Previously, Xmatch has offered only fabric color
palettes. It now features a trim search capability that allows users to access thread and other
trim supplies. A&E’s Global Color Palette, with about 1,000 of its most popular thread shades,
will be available via the Internet. A&E plans to introduce its entire range of more than 10,000
shades in the future.Pantone Inc., Carlstadt, N.J., also will license its range of nearly 2,000
colors to eWarna for use in Xmatch, as well as XDyes™ and LabWorks Pro Web-based color
collaboration technologies.“Designers in the apparel, home furnishings and interior design
industries use Pantone colors to specify and communicate color,”said Richard Herbert, president,
Pantone. “By integrating Pantone colors into eWarna’s cutting-edge color collaboration tools, our
customers will be able to use the same color standard from inception through production.”In related
news, eWarna recently received additional investment from its existing shareholders, including Nan
Fung Investments Ltd. (NFIL), the largest and longest-standing eWarna shareholder.eWarna also
appointed Raymond Hewins vice president, Specifier Sales and Marketing; and Jeff Leclercq vice
president, OEM Sales and Marketing.
