Texanlab Receives CPSC Approval To Test For Lead In Children’s Apparel

India-based independent testing institute Texanlab Laboratories Pvt. Ltd., a member of the
Germany-based DyStar Group, has received approval from the United States-based Consumer Product
Safety Commission (CPSC) to test for the presence of lead in children’s apparel and made-up
articles. All surface coatings and paints used in children’s apparel exported to the United States
must comply with the US Code of Federal Regulations, Title 16, Part 1303, in terms of lead content
limits.

“We can now be an even stronger partner for US retailers, brands and textile processors,”
said Rahul Bhajekar, COO, Texanlab. “We help them to keep harmful chemicals out of the textile
supply chain and to make garments safe for people.”
