Paris-based Lectra, a developer of software and cutting systems for soft goods industries, was
recently honored by the Invest In France Agency (IFA) with its 2007 Investor In Japan Award. The
award recognizes outstanding French entrepreneurs who are establishing and leading dynamic, growing
businesses in Japan. Robert Agnes, president, Lectra Asia-Pacific, and several Lectra Japan
managers attended the France-Japan Investment Awards Ceremony held recently in Osaka, Japan, and
were on hand to receive the award.
Established in Osaka in 1985, Lectra’s first headquarters in Asia, Lectra Japan, is now one
of the company’s largest subsidiaries, with eight offices serving 400 clients in the apparel and
automotive sectors, among others.
“This prestigious award demonstrates the strong overall dynamism Lectra has in Japan,” said
Daniel Harari, CEO, Lectra. “This is a real tribute to our Japanese team and to the entire Lectra
Group, which is committed to providing innovative solutions and high quality service to our
customers in Japan and throughout the world.”
