Switzerland-based Uster Technologies AG, a manufacturer of textile quality control systems,
recently opened a new subsidiary in Suzhou’s Singapore Industrial Park. According to Uster, the
excellent infrastructure and location of the facility are ideal for the company to leverage the
largest growth market in the world. The company hopes the facility will operate at full capacity in
the near future.

“Our customers have benefited from recent investments in our established and recently
expanded sales and service operations to increase our presence in all the major textile areas, with
local sales and service engineers in Beijing, Shanghai, Qingdao, Urumuqi and Wuhan,” said Geoffrey
Scott, Uster CEO. “With the new plant, we can accommodate this growing need and handle the
production of monitoring systems efficiently and geared to specific customer requirements.”
The official opening ceremony included guests from Uster in Switzerland and Shanghai, and new
employees from Suzhou. Naiming Wei is the new general manager of the facility.
