Salina, Kan.-based Vortex Valves International — a supplier of slide gates, diverters and iris
valves used in the handling dry bulk solids — has opened its Asia-Pacific office, located in
Pudong, Shanghai.
“Vortex’s dedication to service on a global scale is further highlighted by the establishment
of Vortex Valves Asia-Pacific,” said Travis Young, managing director, Vortex Valves International. “
It will help us forge even stronger working relationships with our clients, partners, and agents
throughout the region.”
The company has appointed Tony Zhang sales and marketing manager for Vortex’s Asia-Pacific
operations. Zhang will help set up the office, develop marketing activities, coordinate operational
budgets and play a key role in Vortex’s participation at the Chinaplas 2009 and ProPak trade shows
in Asia.
