SSM Opens New Office In China
Switzerland-based SSM Schärer Schweiter Mettler AG officially opened a wholly owned
subsidiary in China earlier this year.SSM says SSM (Zhongshan) Ltd., located in southern China,
will enable it to further expand its international presence, as well as underscore the strategic
importance of the Chinese market.

first phase of operation, SSM (Zhongshan) will build and assemble winding machines based on
groove-drum technology for the local Chinese and Asian markets. Manufacturing of other machine
types will be introduced at a later date. In addition, SSM (Zhongshan) will function as a logistics
base for spare parts and component repair center.
