CCI Celebrates “Cotton Day” In Asia

Cotton Council International (CCI), Washington, celebrated “Cotton Day,” an event designed to
promote high-quality, locally-made cotton textile products, in Korea, Taiwan and Japan during the
first part of May.

CCI representatives, including: William B. Dunavant III, president; Allen Terhaar, executive
director; Will Bettendorf, Northeast Asia director, met with textile leadership, COTTON USA Mark
licensees, United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)/FAS officials and local and international
press corps in each country.

Cotton Day events delivered a 15 to 1 return on investment and generated more than $2 million
in earned media that reached millions of consumers across the region.
