ITM 2006 Technology: U.T.I.T. Wagner Automation S.p.A.

Italy-based U.T.I.T. Wagner Automation S.p.A. will emphasize its package-handling systems and
bobbin transport systems at ITM 2006.

According to U.T.I.T., automatic packaging systems allow a mill to change the existing
production rhythm and to customize package flow. When implemented, the systems can create labor
savings, space savings and production continuity.

Although savings can be achieved with any yarn count when using automatic bobbin
transportation systems, the coarser the yarn count, the greater the labor savings that can be
realized. Also, there is reduced risk to yarn quality because there is no need to handle the bobbin
or textile product, according to U.T.I.T.
