Singapore-based Huntsman Textile Effects (TE) — a manufacturer of chemicals and dyes for finished
textiles and materials, and a division of Huntsman Corp. — has entered into a preferred supplier
agreement with Bangladesh-based Bextex Ltd. — the textile division of Beximco, a private-sector
company involved in a wide variety of business areas — to ensure Bextex receives a consistent and
sustainable supply of high-quality textile dyes and chemicals at each of its textile processing
facilities in Bangladesh. The agreement also includes technical service and support, which will
help Bextex reach the quality levels demanded by global brands and retailers.
“This partnership marks the beginning of a new chapter in this important market, whereby
Huntsman is focused on creating a higher standard in textile processing through innovation and
technical expertise,” said Paul Hulme, president, Huntsman TE.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to partner with such a reliable business,” said Syed
Naved Husain, CEO and group director, Bextex. “This association will create a new benchmark for
productivity and innovation for both of our organizations, which is very important in this
competitive market.”
