Paris-based Lectra recently opened a fashion-dedicated office in Tokyo. The opening ties in with
Lectra’s strategy for enhancing proximity to its customers and also strengthens its presence in
Asia. An event was held to commemorate the opening, with Lectra management and representatives from
approximately 20 Japanese apparel companies present.
“With the opening of the Tokyo office, we are entering a new phase in our development in the
Japanese fashion market,” said Daniel Harari, CEO, Lectra.

With more than 400 current customers in Japan, Lectra has served customers in Japan for more
than 20 years. The company, which had a turnover of approximately US$15 million in Japan in 2005,
has eight offices and 35 employees in Japan.
“As a complement to our Osaka headquarters and our other offices in Japan, these new Tokyo
offices will allow us to work closely with major apparel customers and to build projects with them
that address their new challenges,” said Claudio Saita, director of Lectra’s Japanese subsidiary.
