Germany-based Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH now has a network of service centers in Asia to
assist customers in the region with all its brands including Benninger, Sucker and Griffin. The
four centers — Hong Kong-based Karl Mayer (H.K.) Ltd.; China-based Karl Mayer Technical Service
Co. Ltd.; Japan-based Nippon Mayer Ltd.; and, most recently, India-based Karl Mayer India Pvt. Ltd.
— support all Karl Mayer warp preparation machinery.
The Karl Mayer India service center offers technical support including installation,
commissioning and staff training during and after the guarantee period. Maintenance plans are
available through the division, which also provides spare parts to customer. The division shares
office space with A.T.E. — Karl Mayer’s agent in India, which is responsible for machinery sales.
Karl Mayer India’s managing director, Kevin Socha, also is the head of Karl Mayer Hong Kong. Datta
Sidgiddi is employed in India as the regional service manager and is responsible for managing
service calls for company engineers who are fully trained to perform service on the entire extended
range of Karl Mayer warp preparation machinery.
In related company news, Karl Mayer (H.K.) Ltd., established in 1985, recently moved into a
new 200-square-meter office space and added six employees, bringing the staff total to 14.
