SGS Turkey Expands, Updates Equipment

SGS Turkey, the Istanbul-based division of SGS, Switzerland — a leading inspection, testing,
verification and certification company — recently expanded and updated its facility. Established in
2004, the facility’s upgrade was prompted by growing demand in the region.

The lab provides complete consumer testing services including physical and chemical tests
performed on new equipment including latest generation gas and liquid chromatographs.

At the opening ceremony for the facility, Mehmet Cem Ozen, business manager, SGS Turkey,
gave a speech highlighting the company’s quality service and commitment to excellence, which
enabled the division to experience rapid growth in a short space of time. “We tried to expand our
horizons and with the expansion of our service capacity we have achieved a huge leap forward,” Ozen
said. “Now it is time for us to provide better and quicker service to our customers.”

SGS Turkey is accredited by CPSC and DAkkS, and by UKAS to ISO17025. All tests are performed
to international standards including ISO, BS, DIN, AATCC and ASTM International, among other
standards.
