DyStar Acquires Indian Textile Testing Institute

DyStar Textilfarben GmbH & Co. Deutschland KG, Frankfurt, has signed an agreement to acquire a
majority stake in Texanlab, an India-based independent textile-testing institute, for an
undisclosed price.

Texanlab will continue to operate independently, providing international retailers and brands
third-party quality control testing on dyes and auxiliaries used in textile processing, textiles,
made-ups and garments, as well as fabric defect analysis.

“Texanlab is a big addition to our range of products and services for the textile industry,”
said Peter Zinser, head of DyStar’s Asia-Pacific region. “It supports our vision of building a
bridge between international textile retailers, brands and mills in Asia … Through Texanlab we
can now test textiles to ensure they meet the necessary quality and ecological specifications.”
