Switzerland-based Santex Group recently held an open house at its Qing Pu, China, facility to
highlight the company’s capabilities to an exclusive group of customers. The two-day event included
tours of Santex’s production site, overviews of the Santex machinery range and the opportunity to
view Santex machinery in operation at two customer facilities in the Shao Xing area. Invited guests
included customers from Chinese, Indonesian and Indian companies.
Presentations covering the full range of Santex machinery were offered in Chinese and English. In
particular, the Santacompact CK was a major focus during the presentations. This open-width,
state-of-the-art compactor for knitted goods is now produced at the Qing Pu facility. Guestsat the
event also were able to observe a running Santacompact CK, which was undergoing routine final
checks before being shipped to a customer.
The event finished with a gala dinner, where attendees were able to enjoy a meal while
exchanging ideas and experiences with fellow manufacturers.
