Integrated Heat-Recovery System For Textile Finishing

Integrated Heat-Recovery System For Textile Finishing

A. Monforts Textilmaschinen GmbH & Co. KG, Germany, has introduced a compact and
integrated air-to-air heat-recovery system designed for its Montex 6000 series of tenters. The
system, which was developed using the heat exchanger concept invented by the company’s Swiss
subsidiary Koenig, can be fully integrated into the tenter roof. The system has integrated channels
for exhaust and fresh air, which A. Monforts said eliminates the need for costly pipework. It uses
energy from the exhaust gas to pre-heat up to 60 percent of the fresh air entering the tenter and
feeds it to the tenter through hot air locks positioned near the fabric entry and outlet. According
to Monforts, the system can provide energy savings of 10 to 35 percent. In addition, an automatic
system is available to perform regularly scheduled cleaning.
