ITMA Asia + CITME 2018 Exhibitor Preview: Americhem

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio — October 8, 2018 — Americhem — a designer and manufacturer of custom color masterbatch, functional additives, engineered compounds and performance technologies — has developed new innovative additives for the fibers industry. Americhem will exhibit these three key innovations at the upcoming ITMA ASIA + CITME 2018 tradeshow in Shanghai, China, from October 15-19, 2018. Americhem will be in Hall H2 at Booth C28.

The first leading technology exhibited will be Americhem’s masterbatch of Deep Dyeing for PET synthetic fibers, which uses dispersed dyes. This additive has significant advantages specifically for fine denier yarn such as PET/PA6 bicomponent fiber. These advantages include, but are not limited to: dyeing time reduced by 40%, enables darker dyeing, dosing flexibility, reduction in effluent treatment costs, and imparts a soft feel.

The second cutting edge product is a masterbatch of Catonic dye for PET synthetic fibers, which replaces ECDP. This innovation provides huge benefits to RPET applications. Some benefits of this masterbatch are that it can be blended in bright, semi-dull, and full-dull PET, enables deeper and darker dyeing, environmentally friendly with complete dye bath exhaustion, and is supplied in crystalline form.

The third inventive development is a masterbatch of Stain Resistance for PA6 synthetic fibers that provides superior stain fighting performance, which is widely used in carpeting and apparel.

Americhem will also be featuring its legacy technologies in antimicrobials and UV stabilization, which are pillar additives in synthetic turf, automotive seating fabric, carpet, and textile industries.

“Americhem has always been on the cutting edge of technologies in the plastics industry, but as the company’s years of experience in the fibers/textiles segments grew, so did Americhem’s niche in this market,” states Stanley Teoh, vice president/managing director of Asia Pacific, Sales & Marketing. “Now, Americhem’s R&D team is constantly testing and developing new innovations in the fibers industry on a global scale.”
