United States-based Navis TubeTex, a designer and producer of textile finishing equipment, reports
it recently shipped machinery to companies in Bangladesh and Pakistan.
Bangladesh-based Meghna Knit Composite Ltd. purchased a Pak Nit SP Tubular Compactor
featuring a production speed of more than 50 meters per minute (m/min) and a compaction rate of 25
percent. Meghna selected the technology from Navis Tubetex in part because of the company’s Dhaka,
Bangladesh- based sales, service and spare parts center.
Meghna Knit Composite Ltd. has installed its first Navis TubeTex Pak Nit II SP Tubular
Compactor.
Pakistan-based Al-Abbas Fabrics (Pvt.) Ltd. selected a latest-generation TM-100 Open Width
Compactor from Navis Tubetex. The purchase includes pin tenter entry, edge gluing, selvage drying
and high-speed exit; and is the first such Navis TubeTex unit to be installed in Pakistan. The
TM-100 operates at more than 40 m/min and offers a compaction rate of 25 percent.
