Bonanza, BASF Introduce Purista®-Treated Shalwar Kameez

Pakistan-based apparel manufacturer Bonanza Garment Industries (Pvt) Ltd. and Germany-based BASF
SE, a textile auxiliaries supplier, have introduced a shalwar kameez treated with a Purista®
freshness-enhancing finish. The shalwar kameez, which is the official dress of Pakistan, will have
a “just washed” freshness lasting throughout the day, according to the companies.

Developed by United States-based Arch Chemicals Inc. for use with cellulosic-fiber textiles,
Purista prevents micro-organism growth and unpleasant odors. The finish is available from BASF’s
Textile Chemicals business unit as a result of a global marketing alliance between the two
companies.

“We are proud to see the Purista brand on Bonanza’s national dress,” said Ayaz Qureshi,
marketing director, BASF Pakistan. The garments will be labeled with the Purista hangtag.
