Viba-Siat, Himson Establish Joint Venture
Viba-Siat S.r.l., Italy, and Himson Textile Engineering Industries Ltd., India, have formed Viba-Himson, a joint venture to serve the Indian man-made fiber industry. Established in 1995,Viba-Siat specializes in man-made fiber spinning equipment, especially for the production of continuous filament fibers. Its machines are used in the production of partially oriented yarns, high orientation yarns and fully drawn yarns with polyester and polyamide fibers and high-tenacity yarns.Himson specializes in synthetic filament yarn processing machinery, such as drawtexturing, air-texturing, draw-assembly winding, precision cone/cheese winding, as well as circular knitting machines.According to the companies, the goal of the joint venture is to become a leader in the spinning machine market in India and South Asia.
