Since first publishing its report on the environment, safety and health in February 1997, Teijin
has continued to put out an updated environmental report each year. The 2002 Teijin Group Report on
the Environment, Safety and Health, covering the fiscal 2001 period, has recently been released.
The contents feature in this year’s report include the four accolades Teijin’s environmental
activities received in 2001 and the development of a highly advanced chemical recycling system. The
report also includes details of a “bottle to bottle” recycling technology that enables the
recycling of recovered PET bottles into a PET resin.
