WAKAYAMA, Japan — September 21, 2016 — Leading flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki Mfg., Ltd. will participate in a private exhibition to be held by its second-tier subsidiary Shima Seiki MOROCCO SLU at its showroom in Casablanca, Morocco later this month. On display will be the latest in computerized flat knitting and computer knit design technology.
Headlining the exhibit will be Shima Seiki’s new SVR122 in 5 gauge. Featuring the latest in computerized flat knitting technology, such as the patented DSCS® Digital Stitch Control System, R2CARRIAGE® system, Widegauge® knitting capability, spring-type moveable sinker system, stitch presser, yarn gripper and cutter, and takedown comb, the SVR-series has become the new benchmark for shaped knitting. Also on display is the SIR122, the global standard in shaped knitting, in both 7G middle gauge and 14G fine gauge versions. Proven technology, along with Made-in-Japan quality, reliability, productivity, user-friendliness and cost-performance are all found in all three machines to satisfy the high expectations of the world’s fashion industry.
Demonstrations will also be performed on the SDS-ONE APEX3 design system that is at the core of the company’s “Total Knitting System” concept. With comprehensive support of the knit supply chain, APEX3 integrates knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and even sales promotion.
Photo-realistic simulation capability allows Virtual Sampling to minimize the need for actual sample making, effectively reducing time, material and cost while increasing presentation quality in the sampling process.
Shima Seiki will also exhibit knitwear produced on its latest line of computerized knitting machines, including revolutionary seam-free WHOLEGARMENT® knitwear that features superior fit, comfort and draping characteristics.
